Overview

This 5-day journey pairs the monumental white-marble architecture of Ashgabat with one of the world's strangest sights: the Darvaza Gas Crater, a fire that has burned continuously in the Karakum Desert since the 1970s. An overnight desert camp lets you witness the crater glowing after dark.
